Ingredients
What is on the Soda Tide ingredients list, and what is left off it?
The Soda Tide ingredients list names five active ingredients: chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a 36 mg blend of three bacteria. Capsule materials follow with no amounts. The list prints no live-cell count (CFU), no strain codes and no Akkermansia form, so part of the formula is hidden.

Key facts
A Soda Tide ingredients list is short, and that makes it easy to read well. Five names do the work, and four more are there to hold the capsule together. The skill is in telling a printed amount from a hidden one.
This guide reads the list from the top, puts each name next to its generic category and shows which numbers are on the bottle and which are not. It also sets the label doses beside the doses used in research.
- Printed amounts per capsule: chicory root inulin 211 mg and potato resistant starch 100 mg.
- The probiotic blend is printed as one weight, 36 mg, shared by Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila.
- Other ingredients: hypromellose (vegetarian capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. No amounts are printed.
- Daily Value is not established for any of the three listed items.
- Not printed: CFU count, strain codes, the form of Akkermansia and each bacterium's share.
- The label says it is made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients, and the plant is not named.
In order
What is on the Soda Tide ingredients list, top to bottom?
This is the Supplement Facts panel, per 1 capsule. A serving is one capsule, and a bottle holds 30.
- Chicory Root Inulin (Cichorium intybus)(root): 211 mg.
- Potato (Resistant Starch)(tuber): 100 mg.
- Probiotic Blend: 36 mg, made of Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila.
Below the panel sit the other ingredients: hypromellose (vegetarian capsule), microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica. The three panel lines add up to 347 mg per capsule. Our Supplement Facts page explains each line of the panel in more detail.
Names explained
What does each name on the Soda Tide ingredients list mean?
| Name on the list | Generic category | Plain note |
|---|---|---|
| Chicory root inulin | Prebiotic fiber | A fiber from chicory root that gut bacteria ferment; a fructan, which is a FODMAP (Monash FODMAP high/low foods) |
| Potato resistant starch | Resistant starch | Starch from potato that resists digestion and is also fermented |
| Bifidobacterium infantis | Probiotic species | Research results belong to single strains, such as 35624 (Whorwell 2006 B. infantis 35624 IBS); no code is printed here |
| Clostridium butyricum | Probiotic species | Safety is a strain-level question (ACNFP C. butyricum TO-A paper); no strain is named |
| Akkermansia muciniphila | Probiotic species | Studied as a live and as a pasteurized form; the label does not say which (Depommier 2019 Nat Med Akkermansia pilot) |
| Hypromellose | Capsule shell | Plant-based, so the capsule suits vegetarians per the label |
| Microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, silica | Other ingredients | Listed without amounts |
A category is a starting point, not a verdict. Two products can carry the same category name and hold very different amounts.

Label vs research
How does the Soda Tide ingredients list compare with the doses in research?
Studies of these fibers used grams a day. The capsule holds milligrams. A simple division shows the gap.
| Ingredient | In one capsule | Studied dose | Capsules to match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chicory inulin, lower dose in the tolerance study | 211 mg | 5 g a day (Bonnema 2010 inulin GI tolerance) | About 24 |
| Chicory inulin, EFSA regularity claim | 211 mg | 12 g a day (EFSA 2015 chicory inulin claim) | About 57 |
| Potato resistant starch, lowest dose in a 2019 review | 100 mg | 8 g a day (Snelson 2019 RS2 meta-analysis) | 80 |
Nobody should take 80 capsules a day. The label says one. The point is that the printed amounts are small next to the doses used in research. See inulin: grams vs milligrams for the longer version.
The gaps
What is missing from the Soda Tide ingredients list?
Four details that matter for a probiotic product are not on the bottle, and we found no outside lab report to fill them in.
- A CFU count. Probiotics are dosed in live cells, often 1 to 10 billion a dose (NIH ODS Probiotics (HP)).
- Strain codes. The three bacteria are named by species only.
- The Akkermansia form. Live and pasteurized forms were studied separately, and the EFSA safety opinion covers the pasteurized form (EFSA 2021 pasteurised Akkermansia).
- Each bacterium's share. Only ceilings can be read from the label order.
Not named either: the plant that makes the capsules, a third-party lab and the certifier behind the GMP and registered-facility badges. The lot SOD-26/SO-4238 and CoA SOD-4238-26-SO are seller reference codes, not lab proof.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is on the Soda Tide ingredients list?
Chicory root inulin 211 mg, potato resistant starch 100 mg and a 36 mg probiotic blend of Bifidobacterium infantis, Clostridium butyricum and Akkermansia muciniphila. Other ingredients are hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and silica.
Does the list show how many probiotics are in a capsule?
No. It prints the blend's weight, 36 mg, and no live-cell (CFU) count. The weight includes dead cells too.
Is the Soda Tide capsule vegetarian?
The label calls the capsule hypromellose, a plant-based material, and marks it as a vegetarian capsule.
Does the list name the probiotic strains?
No. It names three species with no strain codes. Research and safety findings belong to single strains.
Is there baking soda in Soda Tide?
Not on the ingredients list. The panel shows two fibers and three bacteria, and the other ingredients are capsule materials.
Is Soda Tide safe for everyone?
No product is. The label tells pregnant or nursing mothers, people under 18 and people with a known medical condition to consult a physician. People with a weak immune system should ask a doctor before any probiotic.
The short verdict
Our view
The Soda Tide ingredients list is better than many. It names the distributor, prints two fiber amounts and lists the capsule materials. Where it falls short is the part that is hardest to check: the live bacteria.
Read the panel as a map of what is known and what is not. Three weights are printed. A live-cell count, strain codes and a lab report are not. Ask for them, and keep the doses in perspective.
Sodatide counts as a dietary supplement and is not FDA approved. The FDA has not evaluated the statements on the label, and the capsule is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Before the first dose, show the list to your doctor or pharmacist if you have a medical condition or take medicine.
